Ms. Engelsman has traveled from her home in the Netherlands to relocate to our community. Ms. Engelsman’s biography and resume supports her devotion to Waldorf education and to the children and families in her care. Having been a Waldorf student herself through twelfth grade, she continued her studies in anthroposophy that supports the Waldorf curriculum such as eurythmy and watercolor painting, and has an interest in the world and its sustainability. She graduated from the University in Leiden with a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education and a Waldorf Certificate.

She has traveled to India to study the processing of Darjeeling tea, picked and processed exotic fruits in Peru, and has volunteered in various countries on the African continent assisting in Waldorf schools and participating in building schools and hospitals in various regions. She also spent time in the United States when she participated in a high school exchange program at the Green Meadow Waldorf School in Spring Valley, N.Y.
