Cortneigh is a dedicated educator who brings both joy and depth to her lessons, drawing from her extensive experience teaching in outdoor schools, as well as private and public settings.
Originally from Indiana, Cortneigh’s journey has taken her across the globe, from Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Querétaro, México, where she cultivated her skills as an English teacher. Her transformative experience at the Waldorf School in Querétaro inspired her to pursue Waldorf training, where she was celebrated for her dynamic teaching style and commitment to fostering inclusivity.
Equipped with a blend of Waldorf and Orton-Gillingham methods, Cortneigh is poised to ignite a love for learning in our youngest learners. Her BA in Education, ongoing pursuit of a Master’s Degree, and dedication to Waldorf principles ensure that our students will receive an enriching educational experience.
As a seasoned world traveler, Cortneigh believes in the power of connections that unite us all. In her classroom, she fosters an environment where similarities are celebrated, creating a space where every child feels inspired and confident.
As Cortneigh’s family concludes their remarkable seven-year journey with the Peace Corps, they relocated to Connecticut, where they have family ties.
